She studied basic art under Pat McDaniel in Gadsden, AL. At age 14, she studied more advanced art under Wesley Dickmann in Springville, AL. In 2002 she was chosen as a candidate in the Miss Teen of Alabama Scholarship & Recognition Program where she won the State and National Art Competition.

After she received a high score of 99 on her application for scholarship drawing, she was granted a Full Tuition Art Scholarship to Art Instruction Schools in Minneapolis, Minnesota, in 2005. Since she has been studying art at Art Instruction Schools, she has received all A’s on her artwork, and she has received the Blue Ribbon Art Award for Outstanding Achievement in the Development of Artistic Skills. She is also published in the DETC e-newsletter “Washington Memo”, and will also be published in the Art Instruction Schools annual “Illustrator Magazine”. Her sketchbook went on Tour with Art House Coop Gallery to Brooklyn, NY; Chicago, IL; Atlanta, GA; St. Louis, MO; Los Angeles, CA. Her sketchbook now remains in a Permanent Collection in the Art House Library in Brooklyn , NY. Her “The Things I Dream About Project” painting will be exhibited in 2011 at the Art House Gallery and Library in Brooklyn, NY, and for its permanent collection. Her sketches and paintings are also in private collections. Future plans include multiple online galleries where she can host her own online exhibits, shows, video presentations, and to sell her work throughout the US and abroad.

Her art education and activities have provided a very challenging and growing experience never to be forgotten. Artists like Da Vinci, Michelangelo, Degas, Van Gogh, Kincaid, Picasso, have all given me such inspiration to challenge myself at all mediums of art. I want to grow artistically and spiritually in every way possible. Meeting other artists, potential buyers, and collectors gives me inspiration and encourages me to produce more art for the future. Making others happy through my art brings me joy and happiness. Every creation is a form of art. The world is made by art formations, full of color, full of life. Art is created by God. Without art, what is life?
